The PlayGolf Fund has up to $60m in funds to invest into revolutionising entertainment-based golf facilities around Australia and encouraging more people to play more golf.

The PlayGolf Fund has been created to support the creation, expansion, upgrade or reconfiguration of innovative, entertainment-based golf facilities around Australia. The next generation of golf facilities are integral to growing the game of golf and may include, but not be limited to golf courses, driving ranges, mini golf, virtual golf as well as innovative concepts that support the objective of the PlayGolf Fund.

The PlayGolf Fund brings together a wealth of experience in all aspects of golf facility development and operation to offer funding and a long-term operational lease solution to minimise both capital and operational risk for local Governments and land owners. Our extensive team delivers industry leading knowledge and expertise across all aspects of planning, funding, design, development and operation of the new generation of golf facilities.

No, the PlayGolf Fund is based on an investment opportunity that may include securing a long-term lease, freehold purchase, or a partnership style agreement.

Will the PlayGolf Fund invest into a facility that PlayGolf will not operate?2021-12-08T17:08:24+10:00

Typically, the fund will only be made available to facilities that are operated by PlayGolf or under a PlayGolf licence agreement. However, a partnership with a suitably qualified operator will be considered.

No, Golf Australia will not be financially contributing to the PlayGolf Fund or the ongoing operations of the facilities funded by PlayGolf. All funding will be delivered by Mulpha Australia.

About Golf Australia

Golf Australia is the governing body for the sport of golf in Australia, formed in 2006 after the Australian Golf Union (AGU) and Women’s Golf Australia (WGA) agreed to merge.

Their goal is to raise the level of interest and participation in the game from grassroots golfers through to the elite levels, spectators, volunteers and associated industry bodies.
